New Hampshire Red Chicks
Developed in 1915 from a strain of Rhode Island Red brought into New Hampshire state, they were recognized as a distinct breed in 1935 as a Sustainable Heritage Chicken Breed. This New Hampshire originated from the “Newcomer” strain which was an egg laying strain and has been improved upon yearly on our own breeding farm.
